Wiism Drafts



These are my first ideas for the ‘ism’ project I made a few relations to the context of Mario being a Wii game and using that format and that text from the game to put into my poster. I also experimented with different textures and effects on the posters to make them stand out and look unique. All of these different designs I like to include them as part of my development process because without them I don’t feel as though I would have got to such a productive outcome.




Twirl



This is my first initial ideas for when I started the brief on showcasing a new look for a Cadburys chocolate, I picked the chocolate twirl, never the less after a few experiments I decided that my imagery didn’t look as sophisticated as it should of and that is when I decided I needed to move onto a different chocolate and a whole different approach.


WII Final





These are from the finals which I created for my Wiism poster. I had to create an ‘ism’ and I thought that picking the Wii as my ‘ism’ was a good idea because it was very futuristic and is one of the most interactive consoles which is still up and rising. The character is a still of my very own Wii character which I created to represent myself. The colours all relate to the Wii theme. I wanted my audience base to range from 5+ and I think this works extremely effectively because I tested it with my cousin who is aged 4 and as soon as I showed him my A3 print out the first thing he replied was Wii so I know that this is effective and works well. The font was yet again created from the font base which is related to the theme of the ‘new super Mario’ game. I picked Mario because he has been a part of the Nintendo family for years since the beginning and when you think of Nintendo you think of Mario. Everything works well in context with each other which I think is the main point of sale within graphics and media is to make sure that everything relates and there is a reason behind every text and every image.

Crunchie




These are some posters which I made for my Crunchie campaign which wa s anew way of advertising the Crunchie chocolate and giving it a whole new look. I picked a bee because it was a good play on the main point that a Crunchie has ‘golden insides’. I wanted to keep focus on the bee so I kept him to a crayon texture due to the fact I wanted it to relate to all audiences ranging from 3+, even though children cannot read the text I think it was important to make them familiar with the bee himself as being an individual.

FMP College



When I was in my last year of college we all had to create something for our FMP. I decided that I was going to create a campaign for Barnardos to support the awareness for children in distress. My campaign was going to consist of billboard posters. 




I designed all of the illustrations on the posters myself using vector tools in illustrator, however before I created them I used a technique which I got inspired from by an illustrator called Jose Antonio Gonzalez Carrasco who worked a lot with fine line but made it very abstract including a fine image within the abstract lines.




This is the font that I created myself using stage blood and a stick which I found in the garden to create a much textured look in the bloody text. I photographed the letters which I made on paper and imported them onto Photoshop and then created separate quotes and lines to be featured in my campaign.
